Kim Avella was educated at the Winchester School of Art, and received her Masters at the Royal College of Art. For the past twenty years, Kim has worked as Design Director of Textiles with three of the most prestigious fashion companies in the world, Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent and Alexander McQueen. Specialising in printed and woven cloth she has designed innovative, beautiful, and luxurious fabrics to embody and capture the spirit and silhouette of each season. She has created the fabric concepts, and pushed the boundaries of fabric research, as counterpart to the ground-breaking work of each fashion house. Kim is passionate about sustainability, and is committed to developing and working with sustainable textiles whilst preserving craft and skill.
