Helen Storey MBE, FRSA RDI is Professor of Fashion and Science at London College of Fashion. Her pioneering work over twenty-five years has brought the worlds of art and science together, producing hybrid projects, and products that have broken new and award-winning ground. These include Wonderland, Catalytic Clothing, Plastic is Precious; Dress of Glass and Flame, Dress For Our Time. A social Artist, whose career began in the Fashion Industry in 1983; since 2016, she has been working between Jordan and London. In 2019 she was appointed the first UNHCR ‘Artist in Residence’ at Za’atari Refugee Camp, where she co creates projects to better life, whilst bringing back knowledge gained from refugees and NGO’s into the teaching and learning experience at University of The Arts London. Her interests lie in the Climate Emergency, Social justice and a response to COVID -19 which puts planet and humans first.
