Malcolm Garrett is a Founding Partner and Creative Director of the London-based design consultancy Images&Co
At art school in Manchester in 1977 he founded the graphic design group Assorted iMaGes (now known as Images&Co), established an enduring creative partnership with Kasper de Graaf in 1983, later branching out in 1994 to form the pioneering digital agency, AMX, one of the first in what is now London’s thriving design district in Shoreditch.
The first Royal Designer in ‘new media’, Malcolm served as Master of the Faculty from 2013–15. He has a passion for design education, and represents the RDI Faculty as Chairman of the Sir Misha Black Awards for Distinguished Services to Design Education. He was awarded an MBE in 2020 for ‘services to design’.
